The WATSAN (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Arsenic Mitigation Program of Manav Unnayan Kendro (MUK) aims to ensure access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation, and better hygiene practices for vulnerable communities, while addressing the serious health risks caused by arsenic contamination.
Project Overview
Access to safe water and proper sanitation remains a major challenge in many rural and underserved areas. In Bangladesh, arsenic contamination in groundwater poses an additional public health threat. This program focuses on reducing waterborne diseases, improving hygiene behavior, and providing arsenic-safe water solutions. MUK works closely with communities, local government institutions, and stakeholders to implement sustainable and community-driven WATSAN solutions.
