The Agricultural Development Project (Agricultural Value Chain Project) of Manav Unnayan Kendro (MUK) aims to enhance agricultural productivity, improve farmers’ income, and strengthen market systems through value chain development. The project focuses on supporting smallholder farmers by improving production practices and linking them to profitable markets.
Project Overview
Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for many rural communities, yet farmers often face challenges such as low productivity, lack of access to quality inputs, poor market linkages, and exploitation by intermediaries. This project addresses these issues by adopting a value chain approach—covering production, processing, storage, and marketing. MUK works with farmers, traders, service providers, and local institutions to create a more efficient and inclusive agricultural system.
